Cake Smash FAQs

When is the best time to schedule my cake smash session?: It is recommended to take your baby's cake smash photos when they are between 10.5-11.5 months of age. This is the perfect age as most babies are standing but not yet walking too much and they also tend to give us more smiles during this time. Scheduling before their 1st birthday will also give you plenty of time to receive your photos back and order prints before their party.

If you are a bit behind on scheduling your cake smash session, do not worry! These sessions can be scheduled for babies up to 14 months.

Most clients schedule their session at least 6 weeks before their desired session date to allow plenty of time to plan their session and ensure that we have availability.
How many set ups does my session include?: Our cake smash sessions include 1 setup/background
Do I need to bring props or decor to my cake smash session?: Let us know your desired theme or color scheme and we will take care of all of the decor, props and cleanup! All you need to bring is baby, their clothing and cake!
Do you also take non-cake smash photos during cake smash sessions?: Yes- we take regular portraits of your baby before they smash the cake and get messy!
How long does it take to receive my photos?: Photos are delivered within 2 weeks of making your selection
